The new Morbid Angel, holy shit, i've lost my faith in everything completely after that listen. come on... everyone has to release a comedy/spoof album at some point in their career. look at weird al and ICP they do it all the time!

my guess is artists are tired of making heartfelt music just so it can be downloaded for free.
makes me wonder if you actually buy the album if you hear completely different songs.
like some kind of encoding in the cd. listen straight from the cd, you hear what you expected to hear...
rip the cd and you get a spoof of something the artist is willing to let you make torrents of and share with the world for free.
haha i know i'm probably wrong, but wouldnt that be awesome?
or to release an album on multiple mediums, [cd, tape, vinyl, digital download] and name them all the same album, but give completely different songs depending on what medium they choose to purchase it on.

Actually, that would be really awesome,it would bring back the feeling of having to go to a friends house just to listen to an album and then deciding whether or not you want to purchase the album, although i'm pretty sure that this will never happen, is it even possible? haha but it's definitely a good idea.

Ha yea, in the end it will all go back on the net, which would leave collectors only to be satisfied. I can imagine the setup costs to be insane considering that there would be less than a 100 people who would actually purchase the album in it's entirety in all it's forms. I see it only working if it's limited to 100 complete copies, depending on who the band is and how much of a following they already have accumulated.

how every local band that plays metal or anything that sounds like grind or whatever has to include "black metal" in their genre description
