i don't mind people who do it if its appropriate. but i hate when people only say words because they think it helps them be "heard". like when i was younger and trying to learn to skateboard, these jesus kids came up to us and were trying to witness to us. they were using words like "stoked" and anytime we would say anything they would always respond with the word "SWEET!"
wouldn't have been that big of a deal really except i went to school with the kids and they were tobacco spitting rednecks who really didn't talk like that.
a poor example, but an example nonetheless.

Hardcore buzz words. Whenever someone says that they're "stoked" or something is "backed", or that a show is going to be a "rager", I cringe. i say stoked all the time. it appropriately describes my enthusiasm. I never heard people say "rage" or "rager" until I temporarily moved back to Charlotte. Almost every facebook event for a party/show in Charlotte says "come rage"

rage is a metalcore term. it refers to "partying, preferably with alcohol, sometimes with other drugs, but in the case of drug free or straight edge, chocolate milk"

when chill is used as an adjective. when people say "i seen", as in "i seen G.J. raising hell at the Dairy Queen". those big glasses girls wear now. the fact that i don't have insurance and my med that lets me sleep costs 100 dollars.
this hippie girl who lives in the house where my band practices almost gave me a stroke yesterday. she said "what do they have to scream about?" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

I really hate the idea of Blu-ray.
I mean DVDs are still going strong and its going to be a long time before Blu-ray becomes the standard, so why make the switch now?

I really hate the idea of Blu-ray. I mean DVDs are still going strong and its going to be a long time before Blu-ray becomes the standard, so why make the switch now? you must have never watched a blu ray on a really nice HD tv. or owned a PS3. haha its not something that can be explained. its more than just a full hd movie experience. alot more actually. wayyy too much to even try and explain. its an interactive experience.

I have watched a Blu-ray before on a big screen HD TV. I just dont see the big deal until it becomes the standard. I would much rather get the same movie on DVD for a cheaper price. I am also not one to view special features often (with the exception of deleted scenes, trailers, and certain featurettes).

that saddens me. i used to think the same way until i actually saw the difference. it was more of just going ahead and getting one because it was convienient, xbox red rings? might as well upgrade now. but ever since i just can't watch tv or a movie unless is full HD now. its turned me into a SNOB!

It saddens me as well.
I call for an intervention Levi. I plan on pulling a Clockwork Orange style tie-up and forcing you to watch movies on laser disc.

dude theres nothing wrong with laser disc. that was the introduction of 5.1 dolby surround sound and true digital picture. it does it better than DVD ever did.
only request. IT HAS TO BE LAST ACTION HERO. that movie was the posterchild for Laserdisc and even audio minidiscs

besides, i don't even own any blurays, i rent them via netflix for 2 bucks more a month than with just DVDs so in the end its really not any more expensive than it was to rent DVDs.
owning movies is for the weak. why buy it when you will always be able to download it for free.

I buy them for collection purposes. There will always be a want for the hard copy of something rather then a downloaded digital one.
I also back Last Action Hero BTW!
