I got the new Weekend Nachos, Magrudergrind, and Coke Bust LPs, a P.L.F. LP I'm pretty sure isn't new, and a Vile Intent tape.

Buying a bunch of 7" records, downloading them, and burning them all onto one CD. Yeah, that.

I don't like buying a CD if it's a split release or it's really short, like under 10 minutes. Sometimes vinyl is clearly better.

When I get a chance to listen to all of this stuff I'll report back, I swear. I'm listening now. I put in the WN first, the A side was definitely the faster half. Some blasty songs, the amount of D-beat influence has definitely gone up. The second side had a lot more slow parts, the last song was a crusher, not in a broish way like people on this forum are saying it was, just in a "last riff on Punish and Destroy" kind of way. People including the band are saying this is something different. After the first listen I really don't feel that way, it just seems to be getting better. Right now I'm on the B-side of the Magrudergrind record, RJ is my favorite guitarist this band has ever had easily. He writes such cool sounding riffs, both fast and slow. Yeah, the record is laden with dumb hip hop samples, I could tell that was coming by looking at the cover. But if you can ignore that, the blasting is still fast as fuck and the record carries a real sonic assault that was lacking in Rehashed.
