anyone else see united nations album art got banned? i'm assuming its the limited artwork from eyeball and not the boring retail black cover + logo thing, which means the preorders are gonna be held up. funny.
"So what was so problematic about Cauty's cover image? It's the same one from the Beatles' 1969 classic Abbey Road, only in his version, the Beatles are all entirely engulfed in flames. The band will likely face similar copyright issues when they attempt to release their forthcoming 7-inch, Never Mind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures, as that record's cover art — by Australian artist Ben Frost — is strikingly similar to that of the Sex Pistols' sole studio LP, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols."
oh, btw, you can all blame MTV.com for not liking your favorite bands, because in the write up about the banned album covers, they mention Young Widows, Ceremony and Cursed.
so, you can start hating the bands you're obsessed with now.

mtv rules. anyone who bashes the shit that can make a shitfuck like soulja boy famous can eat a dick, thats a hell of an accomplishment.
as for the artwork, who gives a damn, i'm not giving United Nations any money to buy an album i can download for free while they stew around making up another band that is just as bad ass as this one.
[yes that means i fucking love the album, but why buy it if i don't have to and the money isn't even making it to the artist?]

Why was Cursed mentioned. Now I'm going to cry in my bed for another few hours wondering why their broke asses couldn't have toured the US one last time.

true, there was a lot of talk about this album being power-violence, and its not exactly anything, which i think is the point since there's like 10+ people related to the music on this album.

i remember reading something about "post-post-hardcore" lately but forget what it was. thought it was ridiculous to have doubled prefixes.

Double prefixes would cancel each other out...I'm not one for the post-hardcore label. Anyways, UN's album is tight as shit, but that's not a genre and it should be. I'm gonna sit back, relax, listen to UN, and wish I could have a copy of the Abbey Road in flames cover art.

post-post-hardcore has nothing to do with UN btw. i was just mentioning the absurdity of the genre.

If you're talking to me, I know. Genres are pretty absurd in themselves. "Tight as shit" should be a genre.
