Bump to the tip-top. Be there. 8 or 8:30ish. Bring at least 3 bucks to donate to the touring bands. That's not asking too much.

so the bands refused to play? sad. i had to dog sit for a friend. kind of. they had a long trip to philly, and i guess it didn't really profit them to play for the 10 or so lunchbox regulars.

lunchbox fucking rules, i just hate how some kids won't come out there because there's no room to "mosh" or whatever.

people were moshing at the Weekend Nachos show. This show was completely last minute since the show they had in Richmond fell through. when they decided not to play only one person was here. by the time 10 people had shown up I figured they would change their mind and play, but no big deal. shit happens.

lunchbox shows are much better than most shows i've ever been to. we do need another venue to take some of the stress off of scott and just another place but i am happy...

alright, so.... i think a "legit" venue, as in, a bar, isn't what charlotte needs. real houses that can do shows, or spaces that aren't run by scum would be perfect. 15th street garage was amazing, but they fucked it up by not doing any of the legal stuff. boiling point was amazing, but crimethinc don't pay. milestone IS awesome, but some people just don't go there for whatever reason. still the best venue in charlotte, its a shame that people stay away from there. as for houses, they come and go veryyyyy fast in charlotte, i guess ritter house has been pulling a lot of the weight as far as not-indie shows go, but in the plaza/midwood it seems like a new house pops up every other week that does a show or two, and then throws in the towel.
i know at my house, the cops show up just for practice, and the parking would get the police there before anything even happened. the first show we did police showed up three fucking times...
if you're looking for a metalcore venue, or b9 venue, then places like tremont or amos's work fine.

yea, if those places easily allowed outside promoters to book shows, which they don't.
