The Sword's new album is a great rock record and also a great concept as well. Full fledge rock, but certainly not lacking any sort of intellectual capacity. Anyone else interested in conceptual records or bands with more conceptual ideas?
David Ike anyone?

Overlooked's new stuff all starts with the letter "s." It conceptualizes how we're all sneaky snakes.

im the kind of guy who has to listen to a cd from beginning to end. an album is an experience. but i have found that the majority of albums that claim to hold some form of concept or journey usually end up boring the shit out of me.
In my opinion, albums like Young Widows "Old Wounds" and either of the last Baroness albums are more in line with what I expect when someone throws the words "concept album" around.
i could give two fucks what a band stands for. i wanna know what the fuck they wanna sound like. i want to know what they want people to hear, and if i have to skip a track of bullshit filler just to find it, fuck off.
