I have a PA head that isn't turning on, and when it is, its cutting in and out I'm not sure whether its loose wires or something else but if any of you might be able to help out with it that'd be cool.

steve stoeckle in charlotte (might have misspelled his name), it's 85 an hour, but you won't find cheaper than that. If your pa head costs less than that, then scour craigslist

it probably is. open it up and see if anything is obviously disconnected or if wires aren't making a full connection somewhere. if it was straight up not turning on, it would probably be a fuse, but if it's turning on and making bad noise, it's not a fuse

i back robs advice. open it up, clean it out [this includes all the pots, inputs, outputs and switches... just a bit of contact cleaner you can buy at radio shack], make sure all the connections are solid. if it still doesnt work and its just a cheap little PA, you're better off just searching the internet for a used one somewhere

if it was turning on and making noise and then cutting out then it might be a problem in the power chord, the outlet, or even the fuse? but if it's turning on, not sounding right, and then turning off, it's not the power, it's something inside
