I've been living in durham for a bit also. Haven't been to any shows, I drive to raleigh most of the time. Though I have heard of a few house shows as of late...
let me know if you hear of anything

Hey dudes. I moved to Durham back in August and I've been able to check out a decent number of shows at a handful of venues so far. Here's a partial list of some of the places in town that have shows:
1. Motorco 2. Casbah 3. Fullsteam 4. Broad Street Cafe 5. Pinhook
Hit me up if you have any questions.

Motorco is the first place I started hanging out at. Seriously some of the nicest people i've met while here. Same goes for Pinhook. Not a fan of Fullsteam beer though. I've heard they started having shows at this Mexican spot-La Salamandra on hillsborough across the street from bull city records. Mostly garage rock and indie bands but it would be cool to rage to heavier stuff in a taqueria. Have to check it out soon. Should be right up your alley, senor burritosnbullshit

Never been there, but La Salamandra looks like a sweet little Mexican joint. Would never have thought they'd be holding shows there.
Also, pretty sure Bull City Records is on 9th, while La Salamandra is on Hillsborough near Food Lion and the ABC store.
