I'm sick of having to go to the library to use the computer, so I've been thinking about getting a laptop. I don't know a lot about computers. My price range is around 500-600 dollars. Anyone have any suggestions, recommendations?

Toshiba all the way (for that price range). Mine was around 600 and I've had it for 3 years and use it as my main pc. Never had a single issue that wasn't because of something I did myself.

both suggestions thus far are good. toshiba makes the best pc laptop in my opinion. im a mac freak so i cant really make a decent suggestion otherwise.
