It's just a guess. NOLA is hands down the worst basketball city in America and Seattle will almost definitely get the next team to replace the super sonics.

I will sign this petition for the sole reason that swag kids/hipsters/charlotte transplants/whatever the fuck will have no choice but to ebay off their Hornets fitteds/snap backs because they will be no longer relevant to their fashion sense once they return.

So the Hornets just signed a deal with NOLA to keep them until 2024. Guess we won't be getting the Hornets name any time soon.

I know you said this a while ago but, New Orleans recently said that they will rebrand now that they have new ownership. The Hornets name will be free once again. Lots of people are pushing for Charlotte to take it back. Fingers crossed.

It may actually be less than 2 years. An NBA official met with the Bobcats administration the day after their last game of the season. The Bobcats would not comment on what it was about when asked if it had to do with rebranding. I know it would take literally $1 Billion to officially change, but MJ really has no option. I mean have you guys heard that if we get the first pick in the NBA draft lottery, season tickets will be sold for $1 a game....... ($43 total).

Yeah I read that, I'm assuming it's in the nosebleeds which were pretty cheap this past season too. I bought a pair of Bulls tickets in the lower bowl off ticket trading for $50 each which is ridiculously cheap. The team will still be horrible with the #1 pick (Anthony Davis I'm assuming) but at least with the Hornets name and hopefully new jerseys it will have a better buzz and people at the games.

the screen printing company i worked for got the bid for some Charlotte Bobcats totebags. We printed them up a few weeks ago and I immediately put in my two weeks notice. The Hornets name wont be coming back anytime soon and I refuse to work for a company thats okay with that.
I start my new job tomorrow.
