Why has this stupid saying gotten popular lately? As if hardcore needed people to be sexist.
Seriously this phrase needs to go die, more clit in the pit.

I always see it tagged onto bands like Touche Amore, which is stupid.

I've seen someone say Cruel Hand before. I really don't even know what this term is supposed to mean. Is it supposed to be negative?

The bands I always hear are Touche Amore, Defeater, La Dispute etc. Just a stupid way to (not so) subtly bring misogyny into hardcore.
This is why so few girls actually come out to NC hardcore shows on their own.

I see a good amount of girls at NC shows. Term is weird though.

Demographics at shows should not determine whether a band is gender-defined. "Girlfriend hardcore" is just a term used by guys who are upset their favorite bands have achieved a less exclusive audience. There's nothing wrong with that. That's the point of having a band and liking hardcore, right? Having fun with your friends, getting your music heard, and creating a community. Communities are not gender based. Why should bands be labeled as such? They are why we all come together! Get with it.
