Someone buy an old car garage and buy a PA?

how about someone open up a place to have shitty turnout shows and sell alcohol to minors. that'd be fresh.

how about a club thats hard to get in touch with anyone, they only book in a small window that they make up as they go which you're always outside of so you can't book because its too far away / too last minute, and if you somehow bother them enough to get in the window finally, they give you "seconds" on the date, which mostly always means "we're gonna book something on that day to spite you". mix in a little alcohol over music mentality. another of those venues would fucking rule.

On the other hand,
Raleigh needs a venue that books good shows. The brewery has good metal shows, and like one good hardcore show every year. I love everyone there though. Berkeley is like, an indie venue with terrible staffing. and I just hate lincoln. Too big, staff sucks, sound crew sucks.

what ever happened to shogun hideout a bunch of people ruined that by breaking the expensive equipment in that garage. people really screwed that one up. good place and austin did a lot to make it work but people i guess are unappreciative. someone should turn the old Fresh Produce skate shop into a venue. the one on thomas st near central. its in a location that everyone knows and its a pretty decent size. nobody has used that building for who knows how long. theres plenty of parking in the area. the place cant be that expensive or else it would have been bought by now. im gonna check into it

well once someone does, it'll be sold to a person to turn it into a restaurant, aka the spot / steeple

lol thats actually sadly realistic. its worth a shot though. i bet it would blow up big time if it actually happened. i just dont know shit about how to get access to a place like that. or loans and shit. im gonna have to start working 5 jobs lol

yea, everything would blowup if people knew about shit within 3 months of venues attempting to be open.
i think the only "new venue" that took off quickly in the charlotte area was sub-culture, and ofcourse shady business practices there. everything else has been one sad attempt after another. i wish "charlotte underground" wasn't originally a strip club, was in a different location, was ran by different people, had a different name, handle booking in a different way.... there's nothing redeeming about that place.
