this is probably the worst place i could have asked a question... not that i want people to be serious all the time on here its just this is a serious problem in charlotte.
we got lunchbox, which can only do so much, we have milestone, which does the type of shows that work best for them and are 18+... we have tremont which isnt even worth mentioning...
even though i loathed crack soup it got shit done and some bands through charlotte. it kept people interested in charlotte...
i wasnt living in charlotte when shogun hideout was around but i know austin is an awesome guy so i dont doubt he put a lot of work into it.
then that kid james had shows in his garage that were ridiculous, people were respectful and good bands came through...
the manifest shows have their purpose... stuart should keep doing them... they bring bands through charlotte even though i dont like those bands and manifest kinda sucks.
we just need something to offset all the shows being thrown toward lunchbox.

thus spoke ruined it electrically. thus spoke was one of the few good bands that played at hellbarn...them, and the fight. muahahaha they built a neighborhood over there and so it would pretty much be noise violations from hell if they still had shows and plus that one dude broke a light

Whatever the new venue may be... it needs a room for all the underage junkies to go shoot up in private.

that fresh produce place you're talking about is "supposedly" owned by a rich family that also happens to be kind of nutso/christian. the guy running fresh produce was their son, and one day they were just done. you can even go look inside and all the display stuff is there.
from what i heard, they just dont have any interest in renting it out. it would be a rad little place. the spot/steeple rent is just way too high for the building and area. the owners think they have the coolest place in the world, and it's cool, but they are asking a LOT for that little space that has no parking.
