That's the gameplan. No matter what, just hanging onto this bad boy.

black knob or red knob? I've been in the market for a twin for a while and haven't had any luck, but I'm not looking very hard.

the reissues are pretty fucking awesome. the only downside is they're reissues and they make it blatantly obvious. still loud and awesome.

i think we may have even more shit than that. we had a drummer for a minute but dont anymore, so if anyone knows any drummers or vocalists in raleigh let me know. we have a couple of songs already and have a practice space and all that

the two complete songs we have so far are sludgy hardcore and then some random post metal type stuff thrown in

I always wanted those sunn pa cabinets to sound good for guitar, but they always sound a little off. Maybe you guys figured out a way to have them sound cool.

speaking of old PA cabs,
im looking for another 16 ohm 1x12 univox cab if anyone knows of one. any old 1960-1970 era 1x12 PA speaker cabs would work too.
ive just really started to enjoy my guitar tone through these kinds of setups

I'm the bass player in Max's band - I re-wired the JCM head to run @ 4ohms and at 100w through the two Sunn PA speakers it sounded pretty fucking awesome with my jazzmaster - we'll see what it sounds like at practice this week. Here is a pic of my rig (it's in the pics above too but here is a closer look): Just bought a solid state acoustic head that I'm going to run into a custom made 2x15" cab modeled after the ampeg svt 2x15. I'll run both together at the same time, the acoustic stack producing the lower smooth sound & my orange stack producing the dirty main sound.

Oh man, great sounding and looking cabs but I've ruined my share of emperor cabinets!

Not the best picture, but I like it because I took it right after recording the Snake Baptist EP and I was really happy with how it sounded.

To fill in the lows in my tone I grabbed a cheap used Acoustic b200h head that I am going to eventually run into a custom built 2x15 cab I'm going to make - but for now since the head is lightweight I grabbed an Acoustic 1x15 cab to run it through and also keep at home to practice through - Set shit up for the first time at practice last night and it sounded amazing. The head def needs the extra 15" speaker though to get loud enough to compete with the Orange/Emperor combo. Running my MIA p-bass through a Radial ABY pedal into both amps. My main signal w/ pedals goes into Orange head.

thats a pretty good trade. although im willing to bet, in two years, you will miss your sovtek. either that or you will upgrade to an orange.
