i've heard good things about them they have a set neck, the pickups are better than most epi's, etc. my LP was okay. never stayed in tune. it was alot lighter than any other LP i'd ever owned, i didn't feel like i was holding a real guitar. it did have some pretty hot pickups though. and the set neck looks nice but to compare, i traded it for a epiphone les paul standard. supposed to be the exact same guitar except with normal inlays and paint, etc. well the standard actually feels heavier [which is a good thing for all you people who think lighter is better. lighter = wayyyy less tone] and plays insanely better. it's only about 50 bucks more retail cost. not telling you not to get it, just sayin, my LP wasn't as good as i figured it would be. piss. i'd be paying 175 for it used. worth it?

totally worth 175. i will admit, its better than any other guitar you could get for that kind of money. brand new they were like 300, so you should jew him down to 150 haha

yeah i was thinking about knockin him down to 150. it has to be better than my squire tele custom i'm using now. the fucking neck on that thing is starting to drive me off the wall how slow it plays. plus is has absolutely no sustain.

well if those are your only gripes about your squire, you're probably gonna love that SG.
i suppose i've just become alot pickier since i got my hands on my current epiphone.
either way, great quality thats for sure. i poured beer all over my gothic LP and threw it off a stage once and it never missed a beat

yeah i'm not particularly picky about gear at all. I'm starting to be more so about amps though at least.

yeah the only thing that sucks is if any pedals or guitars you use have ANYTHING even slightly wrong with them, you hear it through this amp. it doesn't hide shit.
solution: ISP DECIMATOR

I think I finally found exactly what I was trying to do. my custom built amp, marshall 1966a 2x12 with vintage 30's, and a sunn 1x15 (that previously was a beta combo). I'm very happy.

Has anyone played Agile guitars? I ask because they're rumored to be decent guitars for a decent price but I've never talked to anyone who's actually played one. This is just out of curiosity.

This is just out of curiosity. i just got a left handed one with a floyd rose and zakk wylde emgs in it at a pawn shop for 80 bucks. planned on gutting it and putting the pickups in my epiphone. strung it right handed just to make sure it worked and i sold my epiphone the next day. i will never play anything else other than an Agile now. the highest model they have is made to the EXACT specs of a gibson les paul studio and its only 380 bucks brand new. you can seriously find them used in pawn shops for like 100 bucks or less. people have NO idea how awesome these guitars are.

agile and hagstrom guitars are great for the money, and if you can afford it: a higher end first act will blow your mind

i just think its weird saying that i will probably never own anything else other than an Agile. of course i will keep my fernandes just because of its flawless floyd rose and the sustainer system [plus the pickup that comes with the sustainer system is fucking incredible for a passive pickup]. but if i try any other brand names it will probably be when i find a higher end First Act from a dumb redneck somewhere because the idiot thinks its just a cheap walmart brand.
i do have a complaint though, more so an opinion question... i have my jcm 800. crystal clear cleans are impossible on it which is why i own the valve king [pretty awesome clean channel, very subpar gain channel]. i was wondering what are a few other amps that are AMAZING for cleans because i feel like a total doof owning this valveking. call me a fucking elitist, i just want the best tone possible.

try a tele on the neck pickup with your volume rolled back direct into the jcm 800 with the gain down and volume up. or just any of your guitars on the neck pickup with the volume on the guitar down a little bit.

Got a VTM 60 and I think I found someone to buy my XXX. Leftover money either means buying a new cab and tubescreamer from josh, or investing in something else. Probably gonna sell my B-52 cab soon (aka when I get back) if Levi doesn't offer me anything cool for it, haha. I've been thinking of buying a new guitar soon... but I gotta save up for that...

all of you guys buying cheap/off brand guitars: www.rondomusic.com/best website in the world. great deals, good shipping rates, nice dudes to deal with. seriously! knock off rickenbachers, sg's, tele's (that are painfully acurate). Obstruction only played stuff from rondo, and joe in grids has been playing the same rondo bass since we started.
